Young African innovators and the digital divide

A short animation exploring how young Africans are using tech across their societies

Client: Overseas Development Institue (ODI)

What was the project?

This was the first of two animations commissioned by ODI’s Digital Societies programme to help promote research on how young people are using tech in sub-Saharan Africa and what steps governments and companies need to take to support digital tech growth.

ODI were keen to share the final animation across a range of channels, in both English and French. To enable this, we created two language versions, and two aspect ratios (square and 16:9) in order to best suit this need.

What did our client think?

Tim and Alex were creative, professional, followed the brief and were very responsive to our queries. The final animation was vibrant and dynamic and we hope make an impact with our messaging!
