Communicating CashCap
A range of campaign materials to promote and differentiate NRC’s expert roster CashCap

What was the project?
CashCap is a roster of experienced experts with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) who are deployed to provide support and advocacy to organisations providing cash and voucher assistance in humanitarian emergencies. The team were eager to raise their profile and visibility to be recognised as a leading roster in this space. We developed a suite of communications products and tools for CashCap to draw on in promoting the services they provide.
Our work with CashCap produced a wide range of different outputs to help them communicate their mission.
Promotional video
A short promotional video was at the core of CashCap’s initial request to us. They were keen to have something quick and accessible to show people to introduce them to their mission and work. To create this, we drew on content from NRC’s media library and CashCap expert’s own footage and interviews. We combined this with a motion graphics segment, fast paced music and voiceover to create a lively, and engaging introduction to CashCap.
Expert tips video templates
A fundamental part of the campaign was positioning CashCap’s team as the experts on all things humanitarian cash assistance related. In speaking with members of the team, we found that they had so many interesting stories and pieces of advice, but there was no easy way for this to be communicated more widely. To fix this, we created the ‘Expert Tips’ video series - short, simple, social media focused videos which allow CashCap’s experts to film themselves sharing their expertise. We created a re-usable video template for the internal communications team, a series of demo videos, and guidelines on how to create and produce new videos.
Case Studies
Through extensive interviews with CashCap experts operating around the world, we developed a series of case studies about their work. We sought to set the scene, and contextualise where and when an expert from the roster might be deployed, and the range of skills they can bring.
Social media materials
Anchored on the core values that make up CashCap’s work and styled using the refreshed branding we developed, we created a series of social media cards (formatted for each platform as appropriate) to provide our client with material to share to their network.
